The scope of this $12.9 million 265,000-square-foot fast track tenant build-out project included construction of office space, a cafeteria, fitness center and credit union.


Marriott Regional Sales Office Marriott Regional Sales Office

This $665,000 fast-track build-out of 30,000 square feet of cutting edge office space serves as the prototype for the newly launched Marriott's Regional Sales Office concept. A complete interior renovation included major electrical and mechanical upgrades to accommodate high density training areas, a Cyber café, and Wii station lounge/play area. Glass enclosed conference rooms and glass front offices with custom etching of logos to provide corporate identity further compliment the clean lines of the new design. Additional upgrades included a custom lighting package, radius walls and uniquely shaped drywall accents.


St. John's College High School St. John's College High School

This project included the complete reconfiguration and renovation of the school's Administration Office, Main Lobby, 100 Series Classroom and West Façade. Work included interior office partition reconfiguration, cherry millwork, administration desk and new mechanical systems in the Administration Office, complete reconfiguration of the main lobby to include cherry wainscot panel millwork, new ceiling details, lighting, reconditioned terrazzo flooring and new mechanical systems. The main corridor was upgraded with cherry wainscot panel millwork, new ceilings and upgraded lighting. Classroom renovations included new ceilings, lighting, flooring, marker boards and technology upgrades. The west façade of the building received new insulated glazing units and a complete masonry restoration. All work was completed during the summer break on an accelerated basis.

Tenant construction of approximately 5,758 sf of trade association office space demonstrating unique application of association member materials. This included construction of open ceiling office environment, multiple conference rooms with aluminum storefront glazing systems, aluminum walls panels and floor tile.

Complete renovation of existing employee cafeteria and food service areas including; new utility services, kitchen and food service equipment, finishes and lighting upgrades. This project required a high level of coordination due to security concerns and adjacency to a child day care center.


NMCI Washington Navy Yard NMCI Washington Navy Yard

This 20,000-square-foot project involved the construction of the first "super large" server farm for the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet program. The project included a 6,800-square-foot data center with a raised flooring system, UPS system and CRAH air conditioning units. A 3,500-square-foot alley support structure was built to house a new chiller plant, generator set and new switchgear serving the data center and electrical rooms. A 4,000-square-foot electrical room, 8,5000 square feet of office space, and a 3,200-square-foot mechanical room were also included in the scope of work.


WSSC WSSC Training Center
This project involved the tenant buildout of a 10,200-square-foot training center for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. This demolition and buildout project was completed in an occupied facility with temporary walls and negative air protection devices to ensure that there was no time loss for WSSC employees. The scope of work included a raised floor with data cabling, glass block work and high-end lighting. All data and communications work was performed as part of our contract. Donohoe developed a security checklist as well as an on-site digital photo ID service to meet WSSC’s strict security requirements.

This phased renovation of a luxury apartment complex involved the construction of a new main lobby, management offices, business center and Click Café. A new leasing area, and 12th floor fitness center were also constructed.


AT&T Wash 1 AT&T Wash - 1 Mechanical Upgrade, Washington, DC
Selective demolition and upgrade to existing building. The scope of work includes installation of pumps, piping and three 500-ton chillers in the basement, installation of structural steel on roof to support new cooling towers and installation of three new sets of chilled water risers.

Donohoe renovated this 8,000-square-foot admissions testing center which is used for processing patients, performing patient examinations and administering X-rays.


Sport & Health Club Ballston Common Sport & Health Club
Arlington, VA
Construction of this fitness center in the Ballston Common Mall required the demolition of nine retail stores. The storefront design of this high-end fitness center reveals outward-projecting, horizontal metal bands. Other specialties include etched glass, glazed- and glass-block walls, millwork and ornamental columns.


Shiloh Baptist Church Shiloh Baptist Church

Donohoe renovated and restored this 135-year-old African-American landmark church after it sustained significant fire damage. Included in the scope of work was the retention and structural upgrade of the historic façade and the construction of new classrooms and sanctuary. Other project features included extensive millwork, bulled balcony seating and the addition of one thousand pipes to the organ. The project received the WBC Craftsmanship award for painting and the Masonry Design Award given annually by the Brick and Block Institute.


AT&T Columbia AT&T Wireless AWS Baltimore Switch

This fast track build out involves technical work including the installation of heavy electrical and mechanical systems to facilitate AT&T wireless switches. The frame is composed of 1½ levels of structural steel and concrete flat plate. It has three chillers, three cooling towers, two 1000 kW generators, fiber venting stations and two motor control centers.
