Park Place Annapolis

This $132 million mixed-use project includes a Westin hotel, two office buildings, luxury condominiums, a public parking garage, and landscaped plaza.
The 6-story Westin Hotel has 225 rooms. There is an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, and banquet facilities. There are two 5-story office buildings. One is completed and has retail space on the ground floor. The 2nd office building will be completed in the fall of 2008. The 7-story residential component features 208 luxury one, two, and three bedroom condominiums with fireplaces. Other amenities include a community room, fitness center, outdoor pool, and private parking.
The three-level public parking garage has over 1,100 parking spaces and is partially owned and operated by the City of Annapolis. The garage serves the office buildings and hotel, as well as the surrounding community. |

This landmark project involved 460,000 square feet of additions and renovations to an existing 12-story office building with four levels of below-grade parking. Donohoe added two new floors, eight elevators and an adjacent 14-story addition with precast/ granite/curtainwall skin. The building features thirteen levels of tenant spaces and was designed to house approximately 300 attorneys for a prominent law firm. |

Apple Federal Credit Union
Fairfax, VA
This four-story, 60,000-square-foot structural steel building features a precast exterior as well as windows and curtainwall. This headquarters building for a major credit union includes space for executive and administrative offices, a branch credit union with teller stations and loan offices, a travel agency and a central computing/data processing center. An adjacent three-story, 200-car concrete garage was built featuring structural precast decks, and architectural precast cladding.

W*USA TV Channel 9 Headquarters/
Broadcast House
Washington, DC
Within approximately 215,000 square feet of space, this facility contains a parking garage, television stations, a production studio, retail space, a skylit atrium and a rooftop terrace. The facility features a large mainframe computer space with raised floors, three separate UPS systems, and special acoustical isolation for the computer areas and broadcast studios. Extensive electrical and mechanical systems were put in place to provide an acoustically balanced structure, capable of uninterrupted broadcast transmissions throughout long-term power outages. The project received an NAIOP award for best "Build-to-Suit" facility in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Federal National Mortgage Association (FannieMae) leases all 368,000 square feet of office space at 4000 Wisconsin Avenue. Additionally, there are 105,000 square feet of retail space, 1,000 parking spaces and an 18,000-square-foot courtyard inside the building--total square footage is just under 1,000,000 square feet. The list of features and amenities includes a full-service health club with racquetball and squash courts, banked running track, and an eight-lane swimming pool; a six-screen cinema complex; five levels of parking, a full service cafeteria, and a computer room.

This eight-story office building contains 270,680 square feet of office space housing the Bureau of Mines, 50,000 square feet of retail space and two levels of parking. Several existing townhouse facades built between 1890 and 1930 were restored and incorporated into the new structure. This concrete structural frame building has an intricate skin of precast, masonry and terra cotta.

Ames Building
Arlington, VA
Complete renovation of a 12-story, 180,000-square-foot office building. New bathrooms, new fire safety systems, computerized elevators and new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were installed. The project also includes an all-granite, two-story lobby that was one story prior to demolition. The exterior received a new facade consisting of curtainwall, granite, storefront and EIFS. |

National Institute of Standards & Technology Headquarters
Gaithersburg, MD
This six-story, 122,000-square-foot design/build project is constructed of concrete frame with brick veneer. The office space includes specialty communications, video conferencing, an in-house cafeteria and parking for 550 cars. |

USDA at Riverside
College Park, MD
This design/build project is a six-story, cast-in-place concrete structure with a brick masonry facade. The 337,500-square-foot building is situated on a 12-acre site, which includes on-site parking to accommodate 900 vehicles. The interior fit-out of the lease-back building included a child care center, fitness facility and an in-house credit union. |
